On July 27th 2013, after 2 whole years of preparing, crafting, buying and crying over details, we finally tied the knot at St James church in Reading.
One year on, we have finally emptied our house of wedding stuff although we then filled it with 2 new housemates, a tortoise named Bruce and a Ponterarner puppy called Leonard. We have been promoted, re-launched, got one child starting Secondary school and another in nursery. We've had operations, illnesses, gone to Bath, Florida, Majorca and in the midst of all this, won amazing prizes and taken roles in some amazing ambassadorships.
Life is hectic.
Life is always hectic.
Life would be dull any other way.
I love married life.
I love family life.
I love what this year has brought us and long may it continue.
On our anniversary we will be on our Mark Warner Holiday in Kos. The kids will be in childcare and we will hopefully be watching the sunset on the beach with a glass of bubbly. The picturesque honeymoon we never really got. Don't get me wrong, I loved our weekend in Bath we had as our honeymoon but there is nothing better for me than the smell of the ocean and the sand between my toes whilst I'm sipping expensive champers. I get goose pimples just thinking of it.
I don't just intend to have bubbly on the beach. I intend to dine out on the fact it's our anniversary and treat myself and Hoff to a spa treatment (or two) in the resorts AMAZING spa, then literally dine out with some beautiful local food.
I am literally jigging at the thought of it. Just a bit of bliss to remember the mad day we said 'I Do'.
I'll let you know how it goes.
