Day three and I'm typing this with a glass of Bollinger in my hand, just because I can, we're on holiday, why not.
We had a very lazy morning, fried breaky, chilled out in the lodge and had nothing to rush around for. It was heaven.
When we finally got dressed we headed to the Adventure Centre. WOW. Most of the activities are free in the centre and we were in there for hours. Kyd and Hoff went on the BIG FOUR, the swing, the wall, the drop and the sky trail (pre booked and paid for). The toddlers were let loose in the soft play area and the bouncy castle then later the Circus Zone and we ran around after them. We were there for 5 hours. The staff and facilities were amazing and we all had a lovely time.
We ate lunch at the Wild Wood café, their service was quick and their food was lovely. The décor made me feel like I was in an enchanted forest full of fairies and magic. It was quiet and so we got their full attention which made the children happy.
We all walked home smiling apart from Rocky who was so tired he broke down and was asleep by 5.30pm. Life is good in the countryside, calm peaceful and easy going, this has made us all very calm, well most of us *coughs* Rocky.
Hoff and myself nipped out to the village for some peace and some pasta. We went via the lake. I fell in love with the lake. In fact I almost stayed at the lake all evening as we watched the sun go down upon the lake it was beautiful.
Perfect Fajita tea made by the men and then we were on to the Bolly.... the rest is history, or should I say tomorrow's story.
Night kids, drink responsibly.
