Wuhoooooooooooo Day 2...
This time it was the turn of Rocky to break up the sleeping patterns of ALL in the lodge. He refused to sleep, danced around the lodge like a mad man and then finally dropped off on our legs mid protest. *Yawn*
Much to his annoyance, we woke him up early to get him to his Space themed crèche at the Adventure Centre for 9am but his annoyance was reduced when he walked into the room full of toys. Due to the time of year there were only Rocky, his mate Lightning (who is with us for the week) and one other little girl. It was amazing. The staff were lovely and polite, we had a password system to pick them up and they were brimming with joy as we left. In fact, they didn't want to leave.
Whilst they were being entertained for those 3 beautifully quiet and peaceful hours, we walked around the Village and got a few bits of shopping. It was pretty rainy but even in the rain the Village was full of life with people walking with their kids making the most of their holiday. The village has a bakery, a shop, a bar, restaurants, parks and even a wine store *does fist pump*. All of this is surrounded by the most beautiful scenery, a lake, open green space and wooden and old stone lodges..... Oh and hills, there are lot of hills. We made the most of them by doing lunges up them. It hurt by the end. I don't recommend that.
After we picked up Rocky and Lightning we created a lovely complicated lunch of Ham and cheese sarnies with a side of crisps. I love Self Catering, it makes life so much easier. We fed the birds and watched them out of the windows with the kids. They loved it, simple pleasures is what Bluestone is all about.
The next bit was the favourite of all the children... THE Blue Lagoon
It' not a holiday without a pool is it! This pool was lovely and quiet, well apart from the screaming of the people on the slide. The toddlers ran riot and got knocked over by the crazy wave system and Kyd found love with the Lazy River which floated him round the outside of the pool in the freezing cold. The staff were again lovely, even when Rocky was climbing up the rock pool and going backwards up the slides.
After dinner we were going to go to the pub and leaving the kids with the men... we are knackered and so we are just sat in the lodge, in our PJ's with a BIG glass of the nice stuff and we are more than happy with our choice. The lodge is awesome and it's cold outside, why would we move from our chairs?
Anyway, I'm off to refill my glass, speak tomorrow lovelies, night xx
