This week I read the best thing EVER! Long Tall Sally has teamed up with TTYA (Taller Than The Average) to cater for their younger clientele. Meaning I might be able to get some clothes that fit my 6ft legs in there without looking like I'm old before my time or going to work.
You see, in the past I have avoided going into LTS because the clothes weren't very me... because I'm not middle aged yet. I found that no matter how frustrated I was shopping for clothes that fit, I'd still avoid the one shop that actually catered for it because I'd just get more frustrated because they assumed all tall women were 45+.
All that is over now. All my frustrated shopping woes are over. I can now look in LTS without a scowl on my face. Not because I've aged somewhat but because the gods at LTS have teamed up with TTYA and answered my prayers.
What the press release says...
Long Tall Sally, global leader in fashion for tall women, launches the second range from its hugely successful collaboration with urban label, Taller Than Your Average (TTYA).
The highly anticipated 25-piece capsule collection, loved by supermodel Jourdan Dunn and designed by former fashion stylist and TTYA founder Irene Agbontaen boasts cool, effortless pieces specifically cut for women 5’8’’ or taller.
”I wanted to design a range that reflects my love of simple, pared back looks, a collection that every girl can wear and be confident in. TTYA x Long Tall Sally is more than just a fashion range, it’s a lifestyle choice” says 5’11” Irene, of the collaboration.
The focus is on clean, fluid silhouettes and cool, minimalist dressing. Fabrics are soft in organza and heavy weight ponte, while sequins add a hit of glamour. Designs are versatile with a nod to loose boxy shapes.
TTYA x Long Tall Sally debuted its first range in September, causing a stir on the celebrity circuit, with fans including supermodels Erin O’Connor, Karlie Kloss and Jourdan Dunn who famously stepped out in the range during Fashion Week (pictured).
The second season looks set to make an even bigger impact, offering key trends in soft powder blues, icy whites, with hints of metallic. The dynamic range encompasses knife pleat maxi dresses and skirts, culotte co-ordinate sets, patchwork denim and the structured wide leg jumpsuit. There is also a tall girl friendly extra-long beach towel
TTYA x Long Tall Sally is due to launch on the 16th March at selected Long Tall Sally stores, and online at longtallsally.com. The collection will be available in sizes UK 8-18. Prices range from £28- £100
I was not compensated in any way for this post. I'm just happy that I have more places to shop now :)
